Jon married Caroline LeBreton in Hastings. Tim Cole was best man. A memorable weekend of celebration with – John (Doc) Morton's Magect, The Cuckoos, Ceilidh etc ........
The Screever
The Cuckoos released their song The Screever on Vinyl as a 12” on the label: Imaginary Records. The Screever was a song about Jon pavement drawing. Jon lived with Sean Petitt, Bass player with the Cuckoos and helped the band with many of their live events. At one point he roadied for the band.
Jon was a great fan of the band and their songs.

Jon attended Hackney College whilst living in the squat in Hackney and studied Motor vehicle Craft. He achieved certificates for attendance and attainment and was awarded a credit for 'engines' and a distinction for 'chassis components'

Tuscany
Jon was awarded the De Segonzac Travelling Scholarship which enabled him to travel to Italy. He spent a number of weeks in Tuscany and in particular, Sansepulcro where he produced the following new paintings.
